.) What’s a dumbbell? A dumbbell is a free weight that people use when doing bicep curls or instead of using a bench you can use the dumbbells for a free weight bench. You’re able to work different muscle using a dumbbell.

.) What’s a bench? A bench is the thing you lay on when you go to bench press the weight you want to do. The bench is a stable and sturdy thing you lay on then when you do bench press you’re not wobbling or shaking the weight your doing, it just comes down nice and easy.

.) What is a squat? A squat is where you lower your body to a 90 degree and go back up.

.) What is a good amount of time to lift weights? Well in my opinion I think an hour and half is a reasonable time to lift weights. Because you don’t want to be their all day lifting because then will be over doing it and you wouldn't be gaining at all from your workout.

.) Do sit ups really do anything or what? Yes, my dear friend they do wonders. For most people out their our doing like a million crunches and aren’t going anywhere and the reason is that because those people need to be running everyday and have a good diet plan and when you have that then do crunches for about a half hour every other day and motion yourself when you do crunches and I mean by turning yourself and etc.

.) Is their anything I should know about lifting weights? Well before you lift any weights you should always stretch then you won't pull something and also warm up before a workout and I mean by running for 10 minutes or doing pull-ups or pushups.

.) Could you do better if you had an energy drink? Yeah you probably would but then you would also be tired after your workout, if it was me I would recommend going to a GNC or a complete nutrition store and getting some protein shakes, because protein is the basic building block in building muscle.

.) Could you lose weight by lifting weights? Oh yeah you can lose weight by lifting weights, because by lifting weights you burn off so many calories its not even funny.

.) Have you met a professional lifter? Yes sir! I have met a pro lifter. Well i workout at Tryon in Brandon and during the summer their was a couple of big dudes at the gym and when you workout you talk and I started talking to them and they was showing me different workouts and how much they lift and the competitions they go to every so and so months and yeah.

.) Is there any known professional lifters? Yeah theirs a lot of pro lifters out their! I’ll name a couple Ronnie Coleman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Greg Valentino are some well known lifters.

.) Why do you like lifting? I like lifting because is very healthy for you, it keeps me in shape, its cool to look in the mirror and to see results from what you put out in the gym. Also it feels good to get stronger and to do more weight then other people can do and maybe one day, possibly be a pro bodybuilder, but that’s a maybe.

.) Do you always try to over lift or do you doubt of not over lifting? No, I don’t doubt over or under lifting, theirs weeks I will workout for toneness so I will do less weight then I usually do but I do more reps of that one weight and then theirs weeks I will just stack the weight on and go heavy where I can't barely pick up a weight when I'm done lifting.

.) Is their a special type of clothing when lifting? Yeah kind of, and when I mean by that is you would probably want to wear some kind of gym shorts and T-shirt that’s not baggy where it won't interfere when you lift but other then that their really isn’t.

.) Can you cheat in lifting weights? Yeah you can, because when you lift weights you want technique then can build muscle the right way cause the less technique when you lift you have a greater chance or hurting yourself and you probably won't be gaining muscle as fast as that other person that is using technique and getting bigger and stronger.

.) Is their any special brands of clothing to workout in? Yeah theirs a lot of special brands out their for instance theirs Nike for one and if you go to a athletic store you will find tons of name brand cloths and equipment too.

.) What are the different types of bars? There is a bench bar for chest pressing, there is a curling bar for curling and the bar you use for bench you use that bar for squatting and hang clean and etc.

.) What is a back squat? Is where you take the bar and put it behind your head on your shoulders and you go down to a 90 degree and go back up like a normal squat.

.) What are weights made of? Weights are made of many different things, they can be made of plastic filled with beads or you can have rubber weights or cast iron weights can be many of almost anything.

.) What type of muscles do you mainly work? I don’t really work one specific muscle more than the other I try to keep it even by working each muscle group everyday or I try to at least.

.) How long have you been lifting? Well, I started lifting my sophomore year but that was to stay in shape and I didn’t lift on a regular schedule either. I really didn’t start seriously lifting tell starting my junior year then everything started to gain and change on my body into what it is now.
